Product Description Super HotHands® are larger (4" x 5") air-activated hand and body warmers designed to last up to 18 hours providing safe, comfortable warmth in the coldest of temperatures. When placed in pockets or between layers of clothing, these warmers will help you enjoy cold weather activities longer, whether it's hunting, fishing, working or just being a spectator.
Amazon.com Product Description The highly portable and air-activated Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers are a use-anywhere solution to the frigid cold. Keep a couple in your car, first aid kit, or backpack for emergencies, or use them as a regular staple during any cold-weather activities, including skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, or working outdoors. Designed to last for up to 18 hours, the Heatmax Hand and Body Warmers provide safe, comfortable warmth in the coldest of temperatures, and they also are excellent alternatives to bulky electric heating pads for treating arthritis, back pain, or muscle pain. The four by five inch packets can be placed in pockets, between layers of clothing, or directly where you need them. Heatmax warmers are odorless, disposable, non-toxic, and nonflammable, so you can use them without worry. Made of natural materials, including iron powder, water, salt, activated charcoal, and wood fiber, the warmers are environmentally friendly. The packets are simple to use. When you open the wrapper exposing the contents to air, the materials react together to produce heat through an extremely fast oxidation (or rusting) process. Users should allow 10 to 20 minutes for the warmers to reach their optimal temperatures, and can count on warmth for up to 18 hours.

Hand and Body Warmers January 16, 2006 Christina A. Fernandez (Jacksonville, NC) 26 out of 27 found this review helpful
My husband is a Marine currently deployed to Iraq. The weather there now is very cold and these warmers help keep him warm. I highly recommend this product.
note the size October 4, 2007 FLCatalyst (Warren, NJ USA) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I notice some people think this "Hand & Body Warmer" is too big, being pocket-sized. If you want a smaller, glove-sized product, check the listing for "Heatmax Hot Hands 2 Handwarmer" (note: without any "Body" in the name).
Although these products do take several minutes to warm up completely, that's fine: I prefer a slow steady heat that'll last a long time, and that's what they do. I'm not cold when I first go out into the cold anyway, and thanks to these things, I'm not cold for the rest of the time, either.
love these things! February 28, 2008 mad hatter (NYNY) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love these little things! i'm always cold, and you just take one or two and stick it in your pockets (i like mine in my back jeans pocket to keep my butt warm...) and you're off for a night on the town no matter how cold it is! I know they're for skiing, but I use mine for braving New England winter weather.
Plus, they stay hot for so long, they usually last until the next morning. (just don't fall asleep with them in your bed...)
Great for arthritis pain. March 28, 2007 K. Bowman (Port Angeles, WA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Great stuff for people with arthritis, back pain, muscle pain or any pain where the use of a heating pad isn't practical. Example: I have a back support that has a pouch for cold packs. Instead, I use a Heat Max pack and I'm free to go anywhere and it feels great.
Hands hurt from arthritis? Wrap a pack in a dish towel and kneed with your hand.
18 Hours is No Joke February 20, 2007 At Home 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Heatmax warmers work exactly as claimed. They are a wonderful source of heat when outdoors in the cold weather, and yes, it gets cold in Maine. As directed on the label, one does have to take them out and expose them to air periodically to regenerated the heating process. After coming into the house, my wife has taken them and cuddled with them during the evening, and has taken them to bed as foot warmers. Go figure. Natural ingredients and nontoxic.
