The Sierra Origami 2 ultralight shelter excels whether you're looking for a minimalist summer or spring backpacking tent or a breezy beach shelter. The Origami 2 is built for versatility, with five triangular walls that converge into a single midpoint. Campers can stake down any wall at ground level for warmth, or tie one or several walls up to create an airier, better-ventilated shelter. The Origami 2's center height measures 4 feet 10 inches, plenty of room to move around, but can also be pitched taller or lower with the use of an adjustable trekking pole (sold separately). The Origami 2 is versatile in other ways as well, with multiple guyout and stakeout points that allow you to pitch in a variety of conditions. You can stake it tightly to withstand gusty winds or loosely to take advantage of a warm, gentle breeze. In addition, you can close the zipper door, roll it up and leave it open, or tie it out as an awning. And that doesn't even include the myriad of ways you can pitch the tarp.
