The Black Blur Folding Knife from Kershaw Ken Onion can be used for many utilitarian purposes, such as slicing, sawing, piercing, and cutting your way through many kinds of materials. The Blur blade is crafted of Sandvik stainless steel with a strong Tungsten DLC coating that keeps it sharp, even after heavy use. The handle has comfortable easy-grip Trac-Tec inserts to help you keep a firm hold on the knife even in wet or slippery conditions. Lightweight at 4.2 ounces, the knife measures roughly 7 inches fully opened (including handle). The Blur is available with a serrated or smooth blade with a black or silver coating.

SpeedSafe
The Blur knife features the patented SpeedSafe assisted-opening system with torsion bar. SpeedSafe allows the user to smoothly open the knife with a simple push on the blade's thumb stud. The heart of the SpeedSafe system is its torsion bar. Closed, the torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by gravity. In order to open the knife, the user must apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its halfmoon track and takes over. The blade then opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.

Locking Liner
The Locking Liner on the Blur knife holds the knife blade firmly in place when fully opened and locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the locking liner, simply press the spring-loaded lock and the blade folds easily back into the handle.
